Tajik companies: “Mevai Tilloi”, “Oro Isfara” from Isfara region, “Food factory Bokhtar” and "Ansori" farm from Jaihun district of the Khatlon region presented Tajik environmentally friendly products at the 25th International Exhibition of Food, Drinks, and Equipment for Hotel and Restaurant “Gulf 2020” Restaurant Business and Culinary. The exhibition began on February 16 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
The participation of Tajik companies and entrepreneurs of Tajikistan at Gulfood 2020, which will last until February 20, was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, with financial support from the USAID Project on Competitiveness, Trade and Job Creation in Central Asia.
According to the Khovar NIAT, the purpose of the participation of Tajik entrepreneurs in Gulfood 2020 is to familiarize themselves with the market needs of the Persian Gulf region and the Middle East and expand the possibilities for exporting domestic products abroad.
It should be noted that the Tajik companies “Mevai Tilloi” and “Oro Isfara” specialize in exporting dried fruits abroad. The “Food factory Bokhtar” is engaged in the consolidation and formation of the volume of goods from Khatlon region for export supplies. Last year the “Food factory Bokhtar” successfully exported Tajik watermelons to Lithuania for the first time. The Ansori farm in Jaihong District is a leader in the cultivation of high-quality Tajik lemons from the Meyer variety.
Gulfood 2020 is the largest annual exhibition in the world. More than 5 thousand companies from 120 countries take part in the exhibition and over 97 thousand people from 185 countries of the world visit it.
