National forum dedicated to the International Day of Women's Entrepreneurship

On November 19, 2018, the Hilton Hotel hosted the National Forum dedicated to the International Women's Entrepreneurship Day. The main objective of the Forum is to raise awareness of the role of women in society as equal participants in economic life, through the development and strengthening of entrepreneurial skills among women, in particular in the field of handicrafts and easy Industry.
"On the day of the exhibition, the welcome remarks were made by the Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Idigul Tago, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of RT, Ms. Nigina Anvari and the UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Tajikistan, Ms. Pratibha Mehti.
During two months in Kulyab, Ayni, Lyakhsh, Bokhtar and Khujand regions two-day trainings were held among 62 female artisans, which covered the following topics: improving the quality of manufactured products, packaging products using brand elements, ways to promote their products and the establishment of new channels of sales not only in their region, but also exports to other neighboring countries, countries of Europe-through the study of the marketing principles.
The women participants-craftswoman mainly specialize in the national embroidery "Gulduzi", "Chakan" "trigger", for example, one of the trainees of the training-teacher of vocational and technical Lyceum of the Farkhor District, Tagoeva Tozagul is specialized in the artisanship of "Gulduzi", "Trigger" notes: "I myself am a teacher, I teach in the Lyceum. In our area, many girls want to have their own business and many of them are engaged in embroidery. I really liked the training, because before that I did not know about marketing and did not understand that you can improve your business thanks to marketing. We hope that there will be more such trainings in the future, because we share our knowledge with our students.
In addition, the guests were presented a photo exhibition, interactive sites: with master-artists, who will be ready to draw a portrait of anyone who wishes it, master classes on painting pottery, the Art of "Gulduzi" and "weaving baskets.
"Fashion collection of from Goodwill Ambassador Umed Kuchkaliyev will be a fashionable decoration of the event.
This event is implemented on the initiative of the State Committee on Investments and State property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Nations Development Programme in Tajikistan under the projects of UNDP Community Development Program funded by the Government of Finland, the Russian Federation and the Norwegian Government.
